Who we are
Single Use Alternatives was founded by Adrian and Neil; two brothers who are passionate about enjoying the outdoors and caring for the environment. Concerned about the impact single use plastics are having upon the environment, we decided to offer a range of cost effective high quality, alternative products.

We supply a huge range of compostable or biodegradable food packaging products, with options to suit all requirements. From coffee cups, lids and straws, through to food containers, wrap, bags and tableware, our products are ideal for use by cafes, catering businesses, takeaways and food stalls, or for entertaining at home.
About our products
Our eco food packaging products are robust, durable and practical. Although some might look as though they are made from plastic, they are actually made from plant-based materials which are designed to be composted or biodegraded.
To ensure that recycling is as straightforward as possible for you and your customers, our products are labelled so you’ll know at a glance whether they’re compostable or biodegradable. Compostable products are suitable for industrial composting as part of your local council’s recycling service, or for composting in your garden compost bin. Please note though that the composting process will take longer at home as speed of the process depends on the type of bin and conditions.
The process used to recycle biodegradable items is different in that a special industrial composter is required. Unfortunately, not all local councils are currently able to process biodegradable items so please check the situation where you live first.
