Single Use Alternatives was founded by Adrian and Neil; two brothers who are passionate about enjoying the outdoors and caring for the environment. Concerned about the impact single use plastics are having upon the environment, we decided to offer a range of cost effective high quality, alternative products.

How to recycle our products
To make recycling as straightforward as possible, our products are categorised as either biodegradable or compostable. Compostable items can be recycled by your local council with other compostable waste in an industrial composting facility. Alternatively, compostable products can besuitable for recycling in your garden compost bin but please note that the process will take longer as it depends on the method you use and conditions.
Biodegradable items must be recycled in a special industrial composting facility, however this type of recycling facility isn’t available in all areas so please check the situation where you live first.

Switching to products made from plants and not plastic is a great way to help ‘close the loop’. Our products create less greenhouse gasses and use less energy during their manufacture. Once they have been used, they are returned back to enrich the soil through the composting process. Ultimately this keeps fossil fuels in the ground, which has to be the objective if we are to achieve net zero and mitigate climate change.
