At Single Use Alternatives it is our aim to provide a range of eco friendly packaging whilst also raising awareness of the 5 ‘r’s’ of recycling: ‘refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle.’ Our products are ideal for use in coffee shops, catering businesses and takeaways, available at prices which can be comparable to the plastic equivalents.

Single Use Alternatives was founded by Adrian and Neil; two brothers who are passionate about enjoying the outdoors and caring for the environment. Concerned about the impact single use plastics are having upon the environment, we decided to offer a range of cost effective range of high quality, alternative products.

Affordable, sustainable environmentally friendly catering supplies
Our products are 100% plastic free and include everything you need to serve and sell food, or for entertaining at home. From compostable coffee cups and lids, through to cutlery, deli pots and food wrap, our product range can be comparable in cost to similar plastic items, whilst being fully recyclable and more sustainable for the planet.
Ordering from us is easy and because we don’t set a minimum order value, you’ll be able to order in quantities that are right for you; whether you need 100 paper cups or 1000s. The plastic problem
Thanks to increased publicity and programmes such as the BBC’s Blue Planet, we are now more aware than ever of the problems caused by plastic pollution. Plastic has been manufactured commercially since the mid 20th century, with an estimated 8.3 billion tons produced. The majority of this is now waste which has either gone into landfill or has ended up as plastic pollution in the environment. With this in mind, it’s staggering to think that if we carry on like this, by 2050 there will be 12 billion tons of plastic waste.
So what can we do? We know we have to change our ways and be aware that there are viable alternatives to single use plastics available. However, these can be expensive, time-consuming to order and difficult to source. We founded Single Use Alternatives to offer as wide a range as possible of cost-effective, practical products which are easy and convenient to buy. Our products might not be quite as cheap as plastics (yet) but they offer an affordable and sustainable solution.
