Vegware Portion Pots

Making the switch from single use disposable plastics is a great way to help protect the planet. Vegware products are made from plants, not plastics and use renewable materials which are lower in carbon and designed to be composted with food waste. Vegware has the most extensive compostability certification of any packaging supplier in the UK, offering a wide range of products from portion pots and takeaway boxes, through to napkins and cutlery.

Who we are

Single Use Alternatives was founded by Adrian and Neil; two brothers who are passionate about enjoying the outdoors and caring for the environment. Concerned about the impact single use plastics are having upon the environment, we decided to offer a range of cost effective high quality, alternative products.

Cost-effective vegware portion pots from Single Use Alternatives

Vegware products are ideal for coffee shops, takeaways, cafes, events and catering businesses to reduce their impact upon the environment. However, we understand that many businesses rely on having a cheap and convenient supply of disposable plastics. Our products offer an affordable way to reach your sustainability goals, with a range of cost-effective products available for delivery direct to your door. You’ll find that our fully-secure, mobile-first website is easy to use, with next day delivery available if required. In addition, we don’t set a minimum order value so you’ll be able to order quantities which are right for you: whether you need 100 vegware portion pots or 1000s.

Our portion pot product range

We supply a wide range of vegware products, from clear food wrap, burger boxes and takeaway trays, through to cold cups, coffee cups, sleeves and lids. All vegware products are completely plastic free and designed to be composted by your local council with other composting waste, or in your garden compost bin. Please note the industrial composting process takes up to 90 days; however home composting will take longer as it depends on the method you use and environmental conditions.

Our mission

At Single Use Alternatives it is our aim to make buying sustainable alternatives to single use plastics as easy, convenient and cost-effective as possible. We’re doing this because since plastic was first commercially manufactured, over 8 billion tons have been produced. Of this, a staggering 6.3 billion tons has either ended up in landfill or as plastic pollution in the environment. As plastic can take over 400 years to fully degrade, something needs to change. Although switching to sustainable alternatives might seem like a small change to make; it all adds up to a big difference to the planet.
