Alternatives are available, however consumers think they are expensive and difficult to find. Our products are biodegradable or compostable and are labelled so you and your customers will know how to dispose of them. It’s important to note that although Vegware cups, for example, look and feel like plastic, they are made of plant-based materials and can contaminate other plastic recycling. The compostable products we sell can be either commercially composted by your local council, or composted in your garden compost bin. The commercial composting process takes around 90 days, home composting is a longer process and will depend on the type of bin you have and the method you use. Our biodegradable products are also commercially compostable but at present not all local authorities have the facility to accept biodegradable items.
