Single Use Alternatives was founded by Adrian and Neil; two brothers who are passionate about enjoying the outdoors and caring for the environment. Concerned about the impact single use plastics are having upon the environment, we decided to offer a range of cost effective high quality, alternative products.

Our product range includes everything from reusable cutlery, plates and cups for hot drinks, through to disposable pots, sandwich cartons, deli trays and cake boxes. In addition, we also supply a wide range of plastic free alternatives to plastic bags, plastic straws and food wrap. The products we sell are competitively priced, with discounts available on bulk orders. We don’t set a minimum order value so you’ll be able to order in quantities which are right for your business: whether you need 100s of cups or 1000s. Why make the change?
Although switching from disposable plastics to eco friendly alternatives might seem like a small step to take, the more of us who make the change, the bigger the difference for the planet. Since plastic was first commercially manufactured, more than 8 billion tons have been produced. Of this, over 6 billion tons has either ended up as waste in landfill, or as plastic pollution in the environment. When you consider that plastic can take up to 400 years to fully degrade, something has to be done.
Although we need to change our ways, viable alternatives to single use plastics aren’t widely known and have historically been expensive. In addition, the range of different types of new plastics and alternatives can be very confusing. As a result, what might seem like an ethical alternative, could have other consequences. To further compound the problem, the way in which local authorities approach recycling and the processing plants available vary depending on where you live.
