Who we are
Single Use Alternatives was founded by Adrian and Neil; two brothers who are passionate about enjoying the outdoors and caring for the environment. Concerned about the impact single use plastics are having upon the environment, we decided to offer a range of cost effective high quality, alternative products.

Environmentally friendly alternatives to styrofoam
We supply a huge range of eco friendly, polystyrene alternative biodegradable food packaging products available at cost-effective prices. Unlike other sustainable packaging suppliers we don’t set a minimum order value, so you’ll be able to order in quantities which are right for you - whether you need 100 coffee cups or 1000s.
You’ll find that our prices are competitive, with savings of up to 20% on wholesale and further bulk discounts available; this means that the more you buy, the more you save. Our website is user-friendly and mobile-first, with easy account management and re-ordering. Last and by no means least, our products are available for direct delivery to UK addresses, with next day delivery available if required.
Our product range
Our range of eco-friendly alternatives to polystyrene packaging includes everything you need to serve food and drinks in your cafe, takeaway, events business or coffee shop, or for entertaining at home. From cups, lids and stirrers, through to deli boxes and pots, takeaway cartons, food wrap, bags and labels, our products are robust, practical and great for the planet.
Our products are all made from plants and not plastics, helping you and your customers reduce your carbon footprint. Although many of them look as though they are made from plastic, they’re either compostable or biodegradable and as such mustn’t be disposed of with other plastic recycling waste.
The compostable packaging materials we supply can be either composted by your local council with other compostable food waste (check locally), or in your garden compost bin. Please note that items composted at home will take longer to fully degrade, as the speed of the process depends on the method you use and environmental conditions.
Biodegradables are suitable for collection by some local councils who have the special industrial composting facilities required. However, because this type of facility isn’t currently available in all areas, we advise you to check with your local council first.
