Our mission
Since plastic was first manufactured commercially over 8 billion tons has been produced. The vast majority of this ends up in landfill, so most of the plastic ever made still exists in some form today, or it's incinerated. As plastic takes more than 400 years to degrade, something has to change.
There’s more awareness of the plastic problem than ever before but because of a lack of consumer knowledge, cost and different approaches to recycling by UK local authorities, it can be difficult to know what to do.
It’s our mission to make changing your ways as easy as possible, offering a wide range of products that are just as convenient as single use plastic disposables, but are affordable and easy to recycle too.
Eco friendly alternatives to single use cups
We know that you and your customers want to reduce plastic waste. We also know that protecting your profits is important. This is why we have sourced a range of cups, food packaging and accessories, designed to provide a cost-effective alternative to the single use plastic items you’ve used before.
Cost and simplicity are often barriers which prevent catering businesses and individuals from making the move to eco friendly alternatives. It’s our aim to change this and as such, you’ll find our products can be comparable in cost to their plastic counterparts. We also offer a simple and efficient online ordering service, with next day delivery available and the option to order 100s of what you need, not 1000s.
Although many of our products look and feel as though they are made from plastic they are all 100% plastic free and shouldn’t be disposed of with plastic recycling. To make disposal and processing as easy as possible, our products are clearly labelled and as such are either compostable or biodegradable.
Compostable products can be processed either in your compost bin at home or in an industrial composter by your local authority. Industrial composting takes around 90 days but when composted at home, the process will take longer depending on conditions and the method used.
Biodegradable products need special industrial scale composters if they are to fully biodegrade as quickly as possible. At present not all local authorities have the capability to do this so you’ll need to check the situation in your local area.
