Who we are
Single Use Alternatives was founded by Adrian and Neil; two brothers who are passionate about enjoying the outdoors and caring for the environment. Concerned about the impact single use plastics are having upon the environment, we decided to offer a range of cost effective high quality, alternative products.

Products made from plants not plastic
We have the UK’s most comprehensive website, dedicated to sustainable alternatives to plastic disposables, with over 400 products made from plants and not oil based plastic. How our products should be recycled
As our products are 100% plastic free, they shouldn’t be recycled with other plastic recycling waste. Instead, our eco friendly reusable cutlery and food packaging products are either 100% compostable or biodegradable.
For compostable items, please check locally for compostable collections in local food waste. Alternatively, home compostable items are suitable for home composting, however it will take longer for them to degrade in a timely manner as the length of time the process takes depends on the method you use and environmental conditions.
Biodegradable items require special industrial composting facilities, however at present, this type of facility isn’t available in all areas of the UK. As such, we recommend that you check locally before ordering.
