Who we are
Single Use Alternatives was founded by Adrian and Neil; two brothers who are passionate about enjoying the outdoors and caring for the environment. Concerned about the impact single use plastics are having upon the environment, we decided to offer a range of cost effective high quality, alternative products.

Catering disposables made from renewable sources
Because the products we sell are made from renewable sources, they mustn’t be disposed of with other plastic recycling waste. Instead, our products are either fully compostable or biodegradable.
We suggest that you check locally for compostables collections in local food waste, or add home compostable items to your garden compost bin. It’s important to note, though, that it takes longer for items to fully degrade in a garden compost bin, as the length of time required will depend on environmental conditions and the method you use.
Items such as biodegradable plates and cups require special industrial composting facilities if they are to fully degrade in a timely manner. For items such as these, we recommend that you check with your local council to confirm whether biodegradable items are suitable for collection where you live.
