Who we are
Single Use Alternatives was founded by Adrian and Neil; two brothers who are passionate about enjoying the outdoors and caring for the environment. Concerned about the impact single use plastics are having upon the environment, we decided to offer a range of cost effective high quality, alternative products.

Our product range of eco friendly disposable cutlery
From disposable eco-friendly cutlery, cups, lids and stirrers, through to sandwich boxes, deli pots and takeaway trays, our products are perfectly designed for serving food and drinks in coffee shops, takeaways, cafes, events business, food stalls and more.
We don’t set a minimum order value so you’ll be able to order in quantities which are right for you: whether you need 100 compostable disposable cutlery sets or 1000s. Our website is mobile-first, fully secure and user-friendly. Setting up an account is easy; with convenient re-ordering and efficient delivery, including next day delivery if required. Last and by no means least, our prices are cost-effective, with discounts on bulk orders and savings of up to 20% on wholesale prices.
Our disposable cutlery and catering packaging products are made of plants and not plastic and as such shouldn’t be disposed of with plastic recycling waste. Instead we supply either compostable cutlery or biodegradable cutlery.
The disposable wooden cutlery we supply,, are suitable for composting. These items can be either collected by your local council with other compostable food waste, or disposed of in your garden compost bin. Please note that the home composting process takes longer and will depend on environmental conditions and the method you use.
We also supply a range of biodegradable disposable cutlery products made from PLA, a renewable material made from plants, and these are suitable for collection by local councils in areas where special industrial composting facilities are available. Unfortunately, this type of recycling isn’t currently available in all areas of the UK, so please check with your local council first.
