Recycling made easy

Although many of our products might look as though they’re made from plastic they’re manufactured from biodegradable or compostable plant-based materials. This means that they shouldn’t be recycled with other plastic waste but should be composted or biodegraded instead.

At present there are differences between UK local authority recycling schemes and not all facilities are available in all areas. This can make effective recycling confusing and needlessly complicated; so this is something we aim to address by working closely with partners and local authorities.

Our products are clearly labelled so you’ll know how to dispose of them. Compostable products will degrade in under 90 days if recycled in an industrial composting facility. Not all local authorities offer the facility to do this at present so you’ll need to check the situation in your local area. Compostable products can however also be disposed of in your compost bin at home but note the process will take longer.
