Who we are
Single Use Alternatives was founded by Adrian and Neil; two brothers who are passionate about enjoying the outdoors and caring for the environment. Concerned about the impact single use plastics are having upon the environment, we decided to offer a range of cost effective high quality, alternative products.

Helping you avoid the use of single use plastics
Most of the plastic that’s manufactured is used to make products designed for just one use before they are thrown away. So when you consider that plastic can take up to 400 years to degrade, and that most of the plastic ever produced still exists in some form, something has to change.
Although there are alternatives to plastic disposable coffee cups available, they tend to cost more and be difficult to find. In addition, some products are marketed as being environmentally friendly but may not be as ethical as they seem.
Single Use Alternatives was founded to address these problems and it is our aim to provide wholesale and retail customers with a wide range of sustainable alternatives to disposable catering products which are easy to buy and available for doorstep delivery. We know we’re not going to change the world overnight but by making small changes together we can make a big difference.
Our product range
Our products are ideal for use in coffee shops, cafes and catering businesses, or for entertaining at home. We offer a wide range of takeaway cups which are designed for hot drinks but are made from plant based materials and completely plastic free. In addition, we also supply single wall disposable paper cups which can be used to serve cold drinks, snacks and more. From double wall large coffee cups, through to vegware cups for cold drinks, our range helps to make it easier and more affordable to ditch single use plastics.
Ordering from Single Use Alternatives is easy and you’ll find our secure website is user-friendly and mobile-friendly. We don’t set a minimum order value so you’ll be able to order in quantities which are realistic for you, and our delivery costs are low, with the option to choose next day delivery if required.
The products we sell are either compostable or biodegradable. Compostable items can be either disposed of by your local council with other food waste or in your compost bin at home, though could take up to 12 months. At present only some local councils can accept biodegradable items which need to be recycled in special industrial composting facilities, so please check the situation where you live first.
