Single Use Alternatives was founded by Adrian and Neil; two brothers who are passionate about enjoying the outdoors and caring for the environment. Concerned about the impact single use plastics are having upon the environment, we decided to offer a range of cost effective range of high quality, alternative products.

Plastic has been manufactured commercially since the mid 20th century and since that time an estimated 8.3 billion tons has been produced. The majority of this has ended up in landfills or as plastic pollution in the environment.
When you consider that most of the plastic ever produced still exists in some form, and that a large proportion of plastic is manufactured for just one use before it is thrown away, something has to change.
However, we understand that it is important for many catering businesses, takeaways, coffee shops and cafes to be able to access a cheap, convenient supply of products such as cups, bags and cutlery. How our products can be recycled
The chances are that you and your customers are increasingly concerned about the problem of plastic waste and pollution. Our product range provides compostable and biodegradable alternatives which can be easily recycled by your local council or in your compost bin at home.
Compostable products can either be recycled by your local council in an industrial composter or in your compost bin at home. Biodegradable products can also be recycled in special industrial composters but at present this facility isn’t available in all areas of the UK.
