Who we are
Single Use Alternatives was founded by Adrian and Neil; two brothers who are passionate about enjoying the outdoors and caring for the environment. Concerned about the impact single use plastics are having upon the environment, we decided to offer a range of cost effective high quality, alternative products.

We don’t set a minimum order value so you’ll be able to order in quantities which are realistic for you: whether you need to order products in the 100s or 1000s. Our product range
We offer a huge range of practical, high quality products, with items made by some of the leading biodegradable food packaging companies including Vegware and Biopak. All of our products are 100% plastic free, 100% recyclable and are ideal for serving takeaway food and drinks. From coffee cups, carry trays and cup holders, through to deli pots, soup containers and sandwich platters, we have everything you need for your takeaway food business or kitchen at home.
How to recycle our products
We only sell biodegradable and compostable products and although many of them might look and feel like plastic, they are made from plant based materials which shouldn’t be recycled with other plastic waste. Our certified compostable products can be either recycled by your local council with other food waste or in your garden compost bin. Please note products which are industrially composted will take up to 90 days to fully degrade, however the process will take longer in a garden compost bin.
Biodegradable packaging products are also 100 per cent recyclable and must be disposed of in a special industrial recycling facility. However, at present not all UK councils are able to offer this type of facility so please check with your local council first, or contact us for further information.
