Providing businesses and individuals with realistic alternatives to plastics
We understand that although running a catering business is extremely rewarding it’s time consuming too. We also know that profit margins tend to be tight, which makes it harder to find cost-effective substitutes to the cheap, disposable plastics you probably rely upon. The products we supply are different and although they’re all sustainable, they can be comparable in cost to their plastic counterparts.
Our products are completely plastic free and include everything you need to run a catering business or entertain at home. From drinking water and coffee cups through to food pots, pizza boxes and cutlery, our products are designed to offer great value for money. Our user-friendly website is simple to navigate around and with a range of efficient, low-cost delivery services, your order will be delivered direct to your door. Last and by no means least, we understand that you might not want to order in bulk so there’s no minimum order value, giving you the option to order 100s or 1000s.
The plastic problem
The issue of plastic pollution is significant and urgent. The vast majority of plastic currently ends up in landfill sites or as pollution in the environment, with plastic now being found in the food chain. We all know that something has to change and fast.
We established Single Use Alternatives with the aim of helping businesses and individuals make the move towards plastic free products, by providing affordable items which are easy to order in realistic quantities. Our products are robust, attractive and sustainable; helping you run your business in a way that has less of an impact upon the environment. Whether you’re looking for realistically priced alternatives to single use plastic water bottles or are simply shopping for your home, we’ll deliver what you need direct to your door.
How to recycle our products
Our compostable biodegradable products can be recycled by putting them in your garden waste bin, from where they will be recycled by your local council in an industrial composter, where available. When disposed of in this way our products take around 90 days to degrade. You also have the option to compost them at home although it should be noted that this will take longer. Please also note that the recycling facilities provided by local councils vary from area to area; however our products are clearly labelled so you’ll know what to do with them.
